NATURAL ART

  • Be Mine

"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides." Love makes the world go around and many of my pieces feature hearts including this unique piece I call “Be Mine’. This gorgeous piece has a twin named ‘Forever’. The two are the same size and have similar color schemes. Be Mine was made with glow in the dark acrylic paint that makes it light up under blacklights, giving different vibes from day to night. It was made with love in my mind, using 3D flowers and lots of little jewels that make it shine and shimmer under any light. I will sign the back before sending it.

  • Flowers And Love

This 3D original piece is truly one of a kind. I used multiple layers of resin to almost give it a sculpture-like vibe. The woman in the background is pensive yet happy. She is surrounded by tons of flowers, which give it a truly vibrant presence. The flowers used are a mix of real dried flowers as well as artificial 3D flowers. The many roses in this piece simply represent love. The butterflies represent change and transformation, hope and positivity. I will sign it on the back prior to shipping.

  • Forever

Forever is the twin piece to ‘Be Mine’. It was also made with glow in the dark pink paint, that allow it to completely glow under blacklights giving it a completely different vibe with different lighting. Forever was made by first using acrylic paint on the background and then I added multiple layers of jewels, hearts and butterflies. The butterflies represent change and transformation, hope and positivity. This piece was made with love oozing from my heart. It is a reminder that love is the ultimate victory. As Meryl Streep said so poignantly, “My own sense of well-being and purpose in the world. That comes from studying the world feelingly, with empathy in my work. It comes from staying alert and alive and involved in the lives of the people that I love and the people in the wider world who need my help.” I agree. This piece will be signed prior to shipping.

  • Full Moon Love

I made this beautiful original piece on the evening of a bright yellow full moon, which is why the background is painted yellow. I used sparkly Christmas decorations to make the 3D heart in the center. The heart looks almost like lace from the side and looks different depending on the light. It represents love, forgiveness and was created at a time of heightened emotion and passion. This piece was created as a symbol of good luck, life, eternity and love. This piece is sure to brighten any room and would look amazing over a bed.

  • Guitar

My dad has always been one of my heroes. He is the reason I started creating art since he encouraged me to start creating it just months before he passed away from a long battle with cancer. He was a luthier and artist himself. Before he passed away he gave me the guitar that was used in this piece. It was an old Fender that he had shaved and colored. He called the guitar ‘The Clown Show’.  I kept it for many years, not sure what to do with it. I finally came up with the idea to use it to make a piece of art. I first used record cover albums from many of his favorite bands to cover the canvas. I then cut out various lion heads to cover the neck and then used white roses from my garden and put them on it as well, as a symbol of my dad. I also added an ultrasound photo of my son Michael Jack since he was conceived about 6 months after my dad passed, and was in many ways a miracle. I then used acrylic resin to put it all together. When the resin dried I noticed that a tiny and perfect bee had landed on it, and was permanently stuck on the piece as well. I looked up the meaning of bees and they represent fertility and new life, which was so perfect. This piece will forever stay on my wall and is dedicated to my father.

  • Jagger Wreath

This piece was made using dozens of brightly colored roses to make a wreath around an image of Bianca Jagger. Multiples layers of acrylic paint were first used to paint over her prior to adding butterflies, one of my favorite turquoise necklaces shaped like a heart around her neck and other personal mementos that I placed around her and then added resin to make them 3D. The roses were arranged around her by color on a warm summer evening under candlelight prior to finalizing the piece with another layer of resin. This piece is complex and original. It is framed and signed on the back.

  • Jessica

This is one of my absolute favorite pieces! I originally painted a yellow background and then use a toilet plunger I found in my art studio to paint at least 10 layers of different colored circles all over it. I wanted to originally call it ‘The Plunge’. However when my childhood best friend Jessica came to visit me and saw it she said it looked like it was missing something. I had to agree. I therefore decided to paint a huge neon pink heart on top of it and then used hundreds of teen little hearts all over it, which added a ton of beautiful complexity to this gorgeous piece. I named it after my best friend Jessica and finished it by putting a final layer of acrylic resin on top of it to give it a glossy shine. It looks completely different under a black light, which I love. All of us are complex and I love how one piece can represent the complexity inside each of us. It is signed and framed in a white lacquer frame. It will be the highlight of any room and needs black lights to show the different looks.

  • Jimi

I made this special original piece on the evening of a bright yellow full moon, which is why the background is painted yellow. I added an image of Jimi Hendrix, one of dad’s favorite guitarists as the focal point and then used a brush to add color and dimension. Jimi Henrix once said, “When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.” This piece represents the power of love and is sure to be the focal point of any room.

  • Lady Butterfly

This was one of the first pieces I ever made and was finished in 2020. I used an image of Marilyn Monroe, one of my favorite muses as the primary image in the background and then used acrylic paint to layer it with various colors. I painted it during the time my father was losing his battle with cancer, which was obviously a difficult period in my life. I used my hands to paint handprints all over it and wanted her to look like she was coming out of the painting. Marilyn once said, “Sometimes things fall apart, so that better things can fall together.” This piece represents how struggle creates strength. When you see a caterpillar struggling to break free from its cocoon, wiggling and shaking, one would be tempted to help it by cutting it out. What I learned is that if you cut it out, it would not have the strength to become a butterfly since the struggle is part of the metamorphosis where it eventually becomes a butterfly. This is a vibrant piece with so much soul. It is framed and will be signed prior to shipping.

  • Life Is Sweet

This piece is printed on metal and I used an image of Kanye West in the background for this piece. I made it during his divorce and liked the juxtaposition of his stoic face and the “Life is Sweet” quote underneath. Kayne wrote, "Never was much of a romantic, /I could never take the intimacy. /And I know I did damage, /'Cause the look in your eyes is killing me, /I guess you've got another advantage /'Cause you could blame me for everything. /And I don't know how I'm a manage, /If one day you just up and leave.” The piece looks the best under a black light since the heart and quote completely glow in neon green paint. I used sugar on his face to make it glisten before completing it with a final coat of acrylic resin.

  • Love Club

This piece was originally created with acrylic. I used the image of Brad Pitt from the movie Fight Club and changed the words to Love in his hand. This piece was a collaboration with my husband, who added the word ‘finish’ to it, since love is the ultimate finish and our friend Jonathan Kaplan who printed it onto a metal heart. I then added some sparkly gold embellishments to it, which add dimension. This piece is one of a kind and will be the highlight of any room.

  • Love Wins

The piece is framed in a white lacquer frame and is signed.

  • Music Saved My Life

This original art piece was made using 50+ record cover album photos with the primary image of Lenny Kravitz in the center wearing a “Music Saved My Life” tee shirt. I put dark curly hair, cut from a wig on his head to make it 3D and also added a cross, embellished with turquoise and red details. I then added acrylic resin on top and once it dried painted yellow crosses all over it, each with jewels or turquoise crosses added in the center. I also added yellow butterflies on it, since the metamorphosis of a butterfly represents how the struggle creates strength. The butterflies represent change and transformation, hope and positivity. I believe that music is healing and I love the representation of music, butterflies and God in this bright piece. It is signed and dated on the back.

  • One World, One Love

This piece reminds me of the world. I used a pouring mix to create the colors and moved it around as I poured the colors, which allowed for them to connect with crossing lines and colors throughout it. It is more of a traditional piece but has tons of complexity when viewed up close. The world needs more love. I love the quote by Hafsat Abiola saying, “Take your light and take your love into the world as the only weapons that we need to make this world truly glorious, truly beautiful, and astonish all of life. This piece is framed and will be signed prior to shipping.

  • Peace And Love

This magical original piece has several 3D components including a wooden peace sign lacquered onto it. It has multiple layers underneath it, which gives it complexity. I used glow in the dark paint so that it really lights up when under a black light, giving a completely different look with different lighting. I used a card my aunt sent me to create the love letters, which adds a touch of sentiment to the piece as well. It represents love and peace, which we all crave. The woman was created after myself since I love wearing hats. The butterflies represent change and transformation, hope and positivity. I will sign it prior to shipping.

  • Pink Petals

This piece was made using acrylic paint and the image of a gorgeous and happy Ms. Monroe, one of my favorite muses. It is reminiscent of blooming cherry blossoms and flowers in the spring.

  • She Is

This original piece was named SHE IS since to represent strength and growth. I used multiple layers to create her and there are multiple bright yellow circles that surround her. It is finished with a layer of acrylic lacquer that makes it shine. She is strong and powerful and represents the inner strength I wanted to channel when creating her. Her stoic face show she is serious yet strong and wise. Her finger on her mouth makes a mustache, which gives her a masculine strength and her voluptuous body gives her a feminine softness. She is sexy and strong. She is determined and capable. Her hair is partially painted with blue, glow in the dark highlights. She looks amazing in a black light. This piece will be the highlight of the room and will change from day to night. Make sure to use a black light to make her light up when it is dark. The piece is framed (not shown here) in black lacquer. I will sign it prior to shipping

  • The Chaos In My Head

This piece is framed in a white lacquer frame and is signed.

  • Woman

This piece was originally painted with acrylic on lacquer. I used my fingers to paint her hair and used many of my favorite colors to create her beautiful flowing hair.  The piece represents how vibrant and colorful we all are as humans. It celebrates the beautiful gift of life and specifically the vibrancy of inner strength. I printed this piece on metal, which give it a beautiful glossy vibe that will surely light up any room. I will sign it prior to shipment.
